Marisa Schreier – Founder & Dyslexia Tutor

Marisa is a highly experienced educator and the founder of Sensory Learning Services in Perth, Western Australia. With over 30 years of teaching experience, she has dedicated her career to providing intensive, one-on-one literacy interventions for primary school students. Today, she works as a specialist dyslexia tutor in Perth, supporting children who find reading and spelling difficult.
Areas of Specialisation
In particular, Marisa supports students with SLDs and associated challenges, including:
- Dyslexia and dysgraphia: specialised reading and spelling intervention

Clara is a highly experienced primary educator, sessional lecturer and mentor based in Scarborough, Western Australia. Across several decades in education, she has developed a particular interest in where learning, mental health and community connection meet. She now brings this experience to her work as one of our literacy tutors in Perth.

In addition to tutoring, Clara works as a sessional lecturer and runs her own mentoring business. Her background in mental health peer work also gives her teaching a trauma-informed, empathetic lens.

Rom has an extensive history in the WA school system. Consequently, she has strong insight into current curriculum expectations. She is currently relief teaching at Holy Rosary and Doubleview Primary School. She also brings years of experience managing diverse classrooms.
