Sensory Learning Services has a literacy tutor job in Perth for experienced primary school teachers who love helping students overcome challenges in reading, spelling and writing.
You’ll work one-on-one with students with dyslexia and dysgraphia who need extra support to build the skills and confidence they need to succeed at school. Many of these students have struggled for years, and you’ll see first-hand how the right teaching changes the way they see themselves as learners.

About this literacy tutor role
Every lesson is 1:1, so you can tailor your teaching to each student and watch their progress week by week. You’ll join a small team that shares a commitment to structured, evidence-based literacy intervention.
Who we’re looking for
We’d love to hear from caring, motivated literacy educators who:
- are experienced primary school teachers
- have experience teaching literacy within the Australian or Western Australian Curriculum
- have experience and training in a highly structured, evidence-based synthetic phonics program – this is a MUST
- hold a current Working with Children Check (WWC)
- enjoy seeing students with SLD’s grow in confidence and ability
