“This first step in the intervention process is to pinpoint your child’s exact needs and create a fully customised reading and writing treatment plan .”
Every new student who comes onboard for tutoring is charged a one off initial intake fee and given a baseline assessment to determine exactly where we start them on the program.
Following the assessment, a weekly tutoring session will be booked with a teacher or literacy specialist either at Scarborough or in school.
Tutoring sessions run according to each school term and a set number of sessions are allocated for the term.
If your child is unable to attend a session due to illness, our teachers will always do their best to offer a make up session online or another day.
Costs
- $420 – Initial intake fee (one off) to be paid on the day of your assessment
- $105 per tutoring session with a Teacher
- $120 per tutoring session with a Literacy Specialist
Just like dancing or swimming lessons, families are invoiced at the start of the term and charged according to a set number of weeks per term. We also offer a 10% discount to families with 2 or more children attending and to families having more than one session per week.
Initial intake fee includes:
- A review of any previous formal testing and reports to determine student strengths and weaknesses and learning style.
- A 90 min baseline assessment appointment using the South Australian Spelling Test, the York Assessment of Reading and Comprehension, and a curriculum-based assessment to determine program placement and to custom design your child’s program. This assessment process is used as a benchmark to measure growth throughout the program.
- A written treatment plan report following the initial assessment which will outline the program goals for your child.
- A handy resources pack to use not only in our sessions, but also at home to support their homework and at school if they choose. Having access to these high quality resources allows parents to support their child using the exact techniques we use in our tutoring sessions, but more importantly our students will always have access to the resources that assist their learning.
Please register your interest to enrol and we will contact you to discuss your requirements.
